Presidential Strategic Initiatives
As part of his goal to enhance UF’s overall student experience and interdisciplinary research impact, UF President Ben Sasse established that, for the first time, $50 million in legislative funding would be directed toward competitively selected strategic projects. To determine the best use of the funds, President Sasse called for ambitious and impactful proposals and received 250 submissions, 40 of which were selected for implementation. Taken together, these projects further fuel UF’s work to provide a learning environment that is both practical and elite and advance some of the most exciting and cutting-edge research opportunities of our time.
