The University of Florida has closed a portion of Buckman Drive for the emergency repair of an underground steam line between Sisler and Dauer halls.

This closure impacts personal vehicle traffic in both directions on Buckman Drive north of Union Road. It is also affecting several Gainesville Regional Transit System bus routes. For additional information, visit the GNV RideRTS app or the RTS website. UF Campus Connector routes will not be altered.

The work is expected to take several weeks. A projected completion date is not available, given the nature of the repair.

To learn more about construction impacts on campus, visit the UF Campus Closures Map. To receive email notifications regarding campus closures, visit the closures tab of the site and click the blue “subscribe” button on the top right corner of the page.

Correction: An earlier version of this notice incorrectly stated how the road closure would affect RTS bus routes.
